so, the server has a running copy of TeamSpeak 3 beta 1... but there's a minor problem
from the linux console:
2009-12-19 20:57:00.890228|WARNING |Accounting | | Unable to find valid license key, falling back to limited functionality
and finally, i checked the docs:
----------------
(3) License File
----------------
To run the TeamSpeak 3 Server you require a license file. The license can be
obtained at https://sales.tritoncia.com/.
Without a proper license file available the server will refuse to start. Once
the license file is available, copy it into the TeamSpeak 3 Server directory,
where the server executable is located.
on windows, there is no warning of this license file, so i think there's something broken.
i joined a random ts3 server, and they had some guys gaming in HL2, and said others were having linux issues as well, so all we can do is wait.
i will be trying to use WiNE for this, we'll see how this goes
from the linux console:

if you guys havent noticed, beta versions of the new TS3 have been keeping up to date, and if you're wondering on the status of the FUBAR TS3beta server, the update is here.
i've been searching their forums for some time, finally tonight I posted having given up on reading anymore about the issue described above. the post i made in their forum is here, basically describes the same problem along with any patch work i've been trying (which hasn't been much) cuz information is kinda not super clear yet.

Teamspeak 3 is alive and active!
please use ts.fubargamers.com for the ip, and leave the port default [this is for the beta only]
when the final build is released, it will take the port of TS2

i will periodically check who has logged in and "register" people as i see them
Malbolsia and Dr Woo have been granted a normal status on the server, feel free to explore :)
I will be making a new admin status (one that isnt full) to give to a few people to get you all registered, or move people channels, ect
still have a lot to work on, but dunno if it's worth it yet seeing the status of the servers [talk to gtizi on this one cuz i dont see any posts on it, or anything for that matter]
