We would like everyones input towards this, so we can get the best feel towards our NEW RULES.
Thanks in ADVANCE.
SERVER BEHAVIOUR:
Probably the biggest thing. There are a bunch of common sense rules that most people try to abide by. They are sometimes kickable offences depending on the circumstances. I will list the ones I can remember off hand.
Teamkilling - I'm sure everyone knows what Teamkilling means. Basically DON'T do it on purpose. This will see you kicked pretty fast.
Accidental TK's - If you accidentally TK someone, generally its a good idea apologise. Just a quick "sorry bro" will do. 99% of the time this will result in your victim thinking 'oh ok it was a mistake' and not punishing you.
Punishing for TeamKills - This function is in the game to protect against intentional Teamkillers, NOT to give angry young boys the power to retaliate when annoyed. If you get teamkilled and you choose to punish the person, they will be kicked from the server after a certain number of PTK's. DO NOT ABUSE THIS FUNCTION. USE IT ONLY FOR BLATANT TEAMKILLERS (ie ones who join, then shoot everyone on their waiting for a plane to spawn). People will know if you do, and you will find yourself the victim of a few e-gangbangs, and pretty much outcast/labelled a tard for a long time. (Note: Punishing for petty reasons is utterly retarded and ruins people's gaming experience. You need your team mates help in this game, so why get them kicked for mistakes?)
Heres a few pathetic reasons for being Punished I have come across so far
• It's happened to me 3 times this round - Quite possibly the most flawed logic ever
• You didnt say sorry - Perhaps thats because they are still fighting
• You should have checked first - sometimes you fire out of reaction
• You should have checked your map - (after being bombed in an enemy base) Come on.. you put yourself amongst enemy, you're bound to take SOME friendly fire
Sadly this list grows daily, as does the list of 'Morons to watch for'. Please don't become one of these morons. Forgive every time. Also, there are lot of Admins around, all wearing clan tags at the moment, (A Few w/o tags as well) and they do take note of who's doing what, so don't fuel the fire and start Punish fights.
Vehicle Stealing - If someone jumps out of a tank for example, to repair it, under NO circumstances is it ok to jump in and take off.
Plane Camping - Standing around with 9 other team-mates, waiting for a plane to spawn, then running and/or killing, to get it. Generally frowned upon, but with artillery available to enemy commanders, I cant see this being a very popular pastime.
Taxi-ing - Try not to use a tank to take yourself 200m to other vehicles eg a Plane etc etc. Just run. Other people want the hardware you are being lazy with. Likewise, don't jump in a plane for the sole purpose of flying to a base and bailing out.
Language - Most of us swear like sailors. But it looks really pathetic when someone has a cry/flame ingame. You have 4 chances before you're kicked automatically.
That's enough to vent, but not get out of hand.
Remember - The main thing is that we are all here to enjoy a game.
How many people are in the server total?
- if the server is FULL, 25 vs 25, -6 of them shouldn't be a problem, but if there was 7 of them, then it's a problem.
- if more than 1/4 of a team is a clan stacking 1 side and not a single one of them on the other team,
then it's a serious problem.
- if they want a serious challenge, they can tell us they want a scrim, but to empty the servers while clan stacking, and you see others complaining about stacking, try to resolve the Issue.
